1959 Oldsmobile NOS Delco Deluxe Push Button AM Radio GM # 989170

When vehicles are sold new, sometimes the dealership would remove a new vehicle’s radio to upgrade it at the new owners request. Oftentimes they would put the takeout radio back into the upgrade radio box, then put it back on the shelf for future use by the Dealership. This is one of those radios. This untested early dealership take out  Delco Deluxe AM radio was manufactured by General Motors for use on the following models:

Oldsmobile 1959 88, 98 All

Delco # 989170

This is  a one year only, one model only Delco radio and it had such a limited production the only way it came was in a new 1959 Oldsmobile as it was not offered in either the 1959 nor the 1960 Oldsmobile Parts Catalog, in fact it was never offered for sale in a GM parts catalog.

Comes with attaching parts package including  1- Delco Remy # 1912157  3 M.F. radio capacitor  and 1- Delco Remy # 1917580 5 M. F. radio capacitor
