This new old stock transmission front sprag inner splined race was manufactured by General Motors for use on the following models:
Cadillac 1956 – 1963, 1964 – 6229, 39, 57, 1964 75, CC (1956 Transmission Numbers CS 56-1001 – 14000, 1957 after transmission # C-63548, CA-3730, CE-3468).
Oldsmobile 1956 – 1960 with HT (1957 2nd type).
Pontiac 1956 – 1964 All C.C and 315 HT.
Replaced 8617448 on 06/01/61
When replacing 1956 and 1957 original production tanged type sprag race with splined type race, it is also necessary to replace the original tanged type front unit driven torus with the splined type torus.
